Mr and Mrs Porter (East Boldre, Hampshire)
Mr and Mrs Porter were looking to make a sound, long term investment and protect themselves against the impact of future energy price rises. They were also keen to do their bit environmentally. Having studied how the Government’s Feed In Tariff works and discussed a Solar PV project with a small number of local Solar PV installers, they made the decision to go with Aqua Solar Energy. ”Sean has a great team working for him, they are capable, professional and enthusiastic,” said Mrs Porter, “we know we can rely on them not to rest ’til everything is right. So for us it was an easy decision.” When asked how the installation process went, Mrs Porter said “it was all so easy.”
“We are so pleased with our Solar PV panels, they look really good and after just 2 months we’re well on target in terms of the Feed In Tariff. As my husband and I both work from home we are able to use extra electricity in the day, just at the time we are generating it.” Mrs Porter highlighted the fact that having Solar PV panels has changed their mindset, for example, “instead of running the dishwasher at night we now wait ’til the morning. Leave the washing if it’s a rainy day. We’ve also become more conscious of turning appliances off at night. All in all – a good decision for us!”

Mrs Newbery (Milford-on-Sea, Hampshire)
Mrs Newbery had been talking to a friend who had used some inheritance money to pay for their Solar PV installation and was thrilled that the money was being used to do something useful, they were actually seeing that money being paid back in an everyday income, so they felt they were using the money twice over. Mrs Newbery knew this made perfect sense and having done some research about renewable energy solutions and in particular Solar PV panels, was very keen to have panels on her roof generating energy from the sun. She was also keen to take advantage of the government’s Feed In Tariff.
Mrs Newbery explained “the money in my ISA wasn’t doing anything but now I have that money in my Solar PV installation, it’s invested in my roof, it’s very exciting to see some return from it on a regular basis, and the money I’m saving on my electricity bills I feel I’m doing something useful with“.
Mrs Newbery was very pleased with Aqua Solar Energy and has recommended them to lots of her friends already, saying “I am thrilled with my Solar PV installation, the Aqua Solar Energy team answered all of my questions and all of them were so easy to have around the house, the installation process was very straight forward and so quick, they were only here a few days.” Ultimately though, “it’s great to see on the monitor how much electricity I’m generating, I try to limit myself to looking at the monitor only once a day, it’s very exciting!”

Mrs Ward (Lymington, Hampshire)
Since having Solar PV panels installed on the roof of her garage Mrs Ward feels very pleased to have taken a positive step towards a greener way to generate electricity, not only that but she is thrilled to be “harnessing the sun’s rays and making my own electricity. At the weekend I had the washing machine and the dishwasher on at the same time and still the electricity meter wasn’t moving! Also with the Feed In Tariff currently at it’s best rate yet, paying customers 43.3p per kW of electricity generated, my roof is giving me an income.”

Mr D T Ward (Pennington, Hampshire)
“I am so pleased with the Solar PV panels which Aqua Solar Energy installed”, said Mr Ward, “not only were they installed and connected within a matter of a few days, so the disruption was kept to an absolute minimum, but the Aqua Solar Energy team were so helpful and friendly we didn’t mind having them around. The most important thing for us though is the fact that the money we generate from our Solar PV panels will pay for approximately 80% of our electricity and gas bills for the next 25 years and that gives us great peace of mind!”
